Allocation Specialist

The purpose of the role:

    • We are delighted to extend a job opportunity in a multinational corporation wherein you will be working in a culturally diverse setting on a daily basis. We are looking for a Cash Allocation Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely posting of incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts. This position is responsible for reconciling cash transactions, resolving discrepancies, reducing unapplied cash balances, and contributing to the efficiency of the cash allocation process.

Your responsibilities:

  • Booking of bank statements
  • Cash allocation of customer receipts 
  • Performing cash applications against open items and reconciling accounts
  • Collection of remittance advises and performing allocation
  • Responsibility for not applied cash, GL account reconciliation
  • Coordinating accounts receivable month-end close activities and reporting
  • Supporting creation of the desktop procedures (DTPs) for the responsible area
  • Reconciling settlements and customer balances, close communication with collection team
  • Performing direct debit in the bank application
  • Answering mails and requests in the common mailbox
  • Preparation of weekly/monthly reports for logistic vendors collected cash
  • Weekly control of collected cash from logistic vendors
  • Communication with logistic cash vendors, lawyer and logistic in case of any control misstatement, preparation of supporting documents, cash agency contact.
  • Applies payments and contractual adjustments to accounts in an accurate and timely manner
  • To provide support to the team manager driving down unallocated cash and improve automation rates
  • Delivers a high quality and cost-effective service and oversees the process or part of cash allocation
  • Drives continuous improvement within the team
  • Participates in meeting service levels

 

Who we are looking for?

      • If you have 2-3 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting in cash area
      • If you have Min. Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting / Economics or related fields
      • If you have ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
      • If you are self-driven, results-orientated person with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profit
      • If you are understanding of accounting processes
      • If you have analytical skills and attention to details 
      • If you are proficiency in English both verbal and written
      • It will be asset if you are proficiency in other European language (Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Polish)
      • If you have advanced knowledge of excel – experience in creating reports, pivot tables (macros nice to have)
      • It will be an asset if you have a Knowledge of JDE/Oracle
